Real stories of social entrepreneurship in action

Discover how two pioneering LGBTI social entrepreneurs are driving change in their communities. Watch our session recordings for real-life insights, practical tips, and inspiration to kick-start your own impact journey.

We’re excited to share the recordings from our recent online session on social entrepreneurship, designed to equip you with practical tools to explore on your own journey towards creating social impact.

Hear from two inspiring changemakers who transformed seedling ideas into impactful social enterprises:

Amir Shaikezhanov – Community organiser at Safe Space Almaty, Kazakhstan. Amir runs a queer bar that helps fund a shelter for the trans community. His enterprise also includes a community centre, which serves as a free space for activities organised by LGBTI activists and groups.

Ivan Dimov – Founder and Executive Director of the Single Step Foundation in Bulgaria and CEO of The Steps, the largest LGBTI social enterprise in Europe. With a background in investment banking and venture capital across New York and Sydney, Ivan brings a wealth of experience and insight into scaling impact with purpose.

Whether you’re just beginning to explore social entrepreneurship or ready to take action, these sessions are full of lessons, inspiration, and honest reflections on challenges and breakthroughs.
